Glenn Beck and Paris Hilton Hitler Lovers??

Fox News TV host Glenn Beck arrives at his Restoring Honor rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington on August 28, 2010. The conservative rally, unofficially affiliated with the Tea Party movement, attracted hundreds of thousands of attendees. Beck stirred controversy by choosing to host a rally on August 28 at the Lincoln Memorial, as it is on the 47th anniversary and same location of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s historic I Have a Dream speech. OH MY GOD!  Glenn Beck is clearly a Nazi! (of course Glenn Beck is NOT a Nazi as my make believe lawyer vehemently tells me I should clarify)  I mean, seriously – this picture is CLEAR proof!  Just  look at him giving the “Heil Hitler” salute!!  Pictures don’t lie, do they!?

And even more shocking – it seems Paris Hilton is in on this horrifying new Hitler-loving movement!! It makes perfect sense!  If you move the letter “T” in front of the “L,” and change the “on” to “er” . . . oh my god, how come nobody saw this coming!?  It spells Hitler!!  And we all know how much he loved Paris!

How Do We Stop Texting While Driving?

Well, I guess automatic/mechanical arms coming out of the dash to grab your cell phone and throw it out the window if it senses you texting while driving is out of the question (or is it?), but seriously – I wish I could file this post under a “common sense” category that I haven’t created yet (common sense would lead you to believe I would’ve created one if I wanted it so badly, but ehh . . . whatever).

Isn’t just common sense that while texting you must look at the phone at one point or the other – no matter how good you think you are at it – your eyes will come off the road to check to see if you are texting the correct person that “ur goin 2 lunch – will c u l8r” – a message, of course, that seemingly doesn’t NEED to be sent, and was unimportant enough NOT to be sent in 1975, 1985, and 1995 – now, all of a sudden, every little thing (including stupid jokes, which I’m very guilty of) must be texted at any time possible.

Hey, I won’t lie – HAVE I texted while driving before?  Yes – I have – so I don’t want to stand on my soap box with a downcast view among people who do text while driving – I understand and get how easy it is, and how strongly you feel, “I got this – it’s not a problem,” but honestly – and I don’t need to sign freken anything Oprah wants me to sign to come to terms with this – what the hell is SO important that you can’t text it once you arrive at your destination?  Hey, you’re running late and you want to text your friends to go ahead and book that table and you’ll be right there?  Fine – use your hands free and call the person, or how’s this for a crazy idea – at least pull over and send that “all important text” or AT THE VERY LEAST do it at a red light.  Sure, the guy behind you will probably beep and curse at you for not noticing the light has changed to Green, but at least (and I mean very least, because let’s face it – texting should NOT be happening behind the wheel - let us not forget the big train crash in California a couple years back where the engineer was texting right before the accident – food for thought next time you’re running late to Friendly’s for your friends 23rd B-day Bash!)

Here’s my question:  Tickets, fines, making it illegal – yeah – I guess we can argue the effectiveness of that, but can we really, being that I constantly see people doing it!?  No matter how high the fines people still want to text and drive.  So with that said, what should be done (other than my mechanical arms out of the dashboard idea) to make people realize just how dangerous it is to text while drive?

Bottom Line: I have no problem with texting while riding jet skis – in fact – I’d love to see it done! haha

Is Jennifer Aniston ‘Destructive to Society’ ?

Photo by: H6023F/AAD/starmaxinc.com 2010 7/21/10 Jennifer Aniston at her fragrance launch for Lolavie at Harrods Department Store. (London, England) Photo via Newscom

Do you think one of your “Friends” – you know, the one that was once married to Brad Pitt and gets her “unlucky in love” personal life thrown about the tabloids as if we all should give a damn (of course I’m talking about Jennifer Aniston, the most dangerous influence on young America since, well, since Obama gave that speech that was televised to school children about how they should do well in school and work hard – Jeez what a terrible message, what was he thinking!?!?).

According to this AOL Popeater article, Bill O’Reilly (America’s “Culture Warrior” extraordinaire) finds Aniston to be “destructive to society” after she made comments while promoting her new movie, The Switch, that basically say if women want to have/raise a child on their own they can/should and could do so without a man if necessary – to sum it up, she said, “times have changed” – that basically (of course I’m paraphrasing) a man is no longer needed as much as they were in the past.

how come the word Guidos . . .

. . . doesn’t lead anyone to my blog anymore?  If I would get 113 hits in one day, 97 of those would be from people searching the word “Guidos” – now, nobody gets to my page searching Guidos and I get an embarrassing 8 to 17 hits per day – why out of nowhere the lack of results with the word Guidos?  If anyone out there could help me with that I’d GREATLY appreciate it!!

Bottom Line:  GUIDOS!!

Westboro Baptist Church Picket Justin Bieber Concert

I lived in Kansas City, Missouri for nearly 2 years.  I never heard of Fred Phelps, nor the Westboro Baptist Church until I moved to KC in 2008.  Tonight, Wednesday 28th, 2010, members of the Westboro Baptist Church will picket Justin Bieber’s concert at the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City. 2 thoughts:  1) I still don’t understand this Justin Bieber phenomenon and 2) even though I’m sure I would’ve eventually heard of Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church if I had never moved to Kansas City, I sort of wish I never heard of these freaks.

My Experience With Racism Today

This blog post is meant to be a therapeutic post, for I am currently fuming.  Smoke is steaming out from both of my ears after what my boss (my dad) just reported to me over the phone.

I haven’t been able to work since July 8th due to brain surgery (a totally legit reason to stay home from work, by the way lol) but while I was working there were some events that began to bother me – I could see things starting to build up from the start of the job that led to the big blowout today, but at the time there was unfortunately nothing I, nor my dad could say or do to avoid the eventual confrontation.

Mike ‘The Situation’ to Write a Book. Unfrekenbelievable.

http://video.aol.com/aolvideo/PopEater/the-situation-chats-with-popeater/106567260001
I could go many places with this – 1) I could easily joke about and wonder how the hell this guy is even able write a book (a not-so-smart joke here and there), but I’m not that cruel (besides, honestly, I don’t think he’s actually that DUMB – hence the fact that the guy IS raking in the dough)  . . . I could 2) talk about how ridiculous it is that there are probably so many more worthwhile actual writers out there that are struggling, and all of a sudden some douche with ripped abs gets on MTV and BOOM – he’s got a book deal . . . but isn’t that America, ladies and gentlemen?  Isn’t that how it seems to just keep happening?  It seems the only goal for young people anymore is to be annoying enough, ripped enough, drunk enough, stupid enough, or anything ENOUGH just to be on TV – once there, anything can happen – like, for instance, writing a book on how to get ripped abs and do your freken laundry (unfrekenbelievable lol).

TomUnfiltered Is Back in Action – out of the Hospital, and back to blogging and writing

Finally – it’s only been 10 days, but after countless procedures and sleepless (noisy intensive care unit) nights, TomUnfiltered is back amongst the active . . . sure – I can’t go straight back to work right off the bat – but at least I’m healthy and safe and I’m able to recuperate at home with loved ones.

My heart goes out to all the people who end up on the wrong end of these sudden and scary hospital stories . . . not every one makes it, unfortunately . . . .

Bottom Line: I’m happy, grateful, and back in action . . . keep an eye out for updated blogs on www.Tomunfiltered.com!

So Many Topics, Yet So Few Updates

Oh if I could only count the amount of times I’ve tried to close/cancel this blog . . . I keep debating it, but then the simple fact that I’m too lazy to search for my GoDaddy user ID # (and the fact that I have the domain name paid for until May 2011) has kept this blog going (albeit on very weak life support) – - -

I still have to pay about $4.99 a month for hosting (I think) which pisses me off, cause I should’ve just used one of those free (already hosted) blog websites . . . but whatever (my flippant attitude should explain to all my faithful readers – the 3 of you – the reason for the lack of updates and posts.  And it’s not like there hasn’t been a lack of topics.  In fact, I will even take the time to quickly rundown all the things that I would’ve normally been writing about, but have been too apathetic and tired to blog (and sometimes even care) about.  Here we go:

  1. World Cup, ESPECIALLY after U.S.A.’s miraculous win today against Algeria!  Oh the exciting posts I could write about that game!  But I won’t . . . .
  2. The Gulf Oil Leak . . . so seriously . . . another mistake/accident today caused even more oil to leak out?  The situation is so ridiculously out of control, that I don’t even want to talk about it – hence my lack of posts . . . so I wont . . . .
  3. The NHL awards show tonight – there was an NHL awards show tonight!?  Exactly . . . .
  4. The NHL draft on Friday . . . what’s the point?  I hate all the mock “what’s going to happen!?” garbage – we don’t know who will pick whom until AFTER the draft . . . that’s how it works, so alas . . . I won’t write about it . . . I just won’t . . . .
  5. I watched Bill Maher’s Religilous last night – a movie I’ve been meaning to watch for a long time, and finally saw it – an obvious hot button topic that would open up a can of worms on this blog, one that I’ve avoided opening since I started the blog . . . sooooo once again – I won’t write about it . . . .

I think you get my point – there is clearly enough for me to write about – to talk about – to speak out against/for/and what not . . . yet, for some reason . . . I don’t care to anymore . . . I know this isn’t a way to get people reading my blogs – you know, admitting that I don’t CARE about writing anymore lol – I mean, who the hell would want to read anything I have to say if I don’t care!?  But my “faithful” know I go through this all the time . . . I guess there is a reason this blog is still around – maybe it’s waiting for me to get inspired (I think I’M still waiting for me to get inspired) . . . truth is – I’ve been so busy living life (not sitting in front of my computer) that I’ve grown to not blog as much, and really, isn’t this a good thing!?  (and I’ve been working . . . a lot . . . and this too is a very good thing).

Bottom Line: My eyes are not closed to the world around me, and sooner rather than later, I shall write about it through my eyes, the way I see it, the only way I know how, on this blog . . . there is still so much to write about – so much happening – between my career (whatever that is) and getting married – I shall have plenty to vent/blog/write/document . . . so it’s safe to say, I’m pretty happy I can’t find that damn Godaddy user ID # . . . .
