Do you smell that? Could it be pot? Could it be alcohol? Or is it simply the stink, the stank, that is Paris Hilton. Ahhh Paris . . . .

I’m just going to say this about Paris Hilton and her boyfriend and blah blah blah . . . .

If you are attending a special event, if you’re going out to dinner where you know you’re drinking, or if you . . . frankly, can I be frank? You’re all supposed to have money, right?!?!? So how about NOT DRIVING!? I never understand this . . . when people with money get “bagged” for driving while drinking or doing drugs or having drugs on them . . . I just don’t get it . . . if you know you’re going to be doing such things, why not have someone drive you!!!

Okay – I sort of get it – you think you can do it – you think you can accomplish your short term feat – you think you can get from point A to point B without getting stopped, caught, or raising any flags . . . but when it comes to rich people I have an issue . . . if you want to “smoke up” can’t you do it at one of your family’s many hotel rooms?? Or how about the big fancy house that I’m sure at least ONE of you have? How’s this for an idea – when you drink – can you not afford a driver? A town car? A limo? Have Nicole Ritchie or Brittney Spears pick you up!!! (don’t have Nicole Ritchie nor Brittney Spears pick you up). Why do these people constantly insist on driving themselves everywhere when they are partying!!??

Simple people like my friends and myself – well, we have things called TAXIS and trains lol – sometimes we have designated drivers – or we just don’t GO OUT – but when we do we know damn well there are certain things you DON’T do inside the car . . . it’s just NOT the place . . . but there is one obvious question I need to ask about Paris Hilton that needs to be asked (and I know damn well I’m not the first to ask it, but I still have to!):

Is Paris Hilton FORCING herself back into the mainstream media? Is she jealous of Lindsay (who’s clearly and seriously a scout’s honor mess) who has been taking over the celebrity gossip columns for way too long now? Is Paris simply upset that she simply fell off the face of the earth in the “famous for nothing” division of Hollywood? Sure, getting yourself in trouble for having coke in your bag isn’t the smartest thing, but is she even slightly smart? And don’t you think she’s stupid enough to think, “I’ve gotten out of it before, why can’t I get out of it again? They wouldn’t dare throw the book at me.”

Bottom Line: So many questions . . . so little coke for Paris Hilton to snort . . . plain and simple: Is Paris simply stupid and genuinely getting in trouble for partying too hard? Or is she simply trying to pry her way into the public eye? I vote for the latter, especially when the stupid idiot looks at mug shots as a glamor shot and a public relations opportunity . . . Let me know what you think!

OH MY GOD! Glenn Beck is clearly a Nazi! (of course Glenn Beck is NOT a Nazi as my make believe lawyer vehemently tells me I should clarify) I mean, seriously – this picture is CLEAR proof! Just look at him giving the “Heil Hitler” salute!! Pictures don’t lie, do they!?

And even more shocking – it seems Paris Hilton is in on this horrifying new Hitler-loving movement!! It makes perfect sense! If you move the letter “T” in front of the “L,” and change the “on” to “er” . . . oh my god, how come nobody saw this coming!? It spells Hitler!! And we all know how much he loved Paris!

Some things are just so clear and obvious!! Like when this following “fist-bump” occurred, there could be only one TRUE explanation:

Of course the explanation is alluded to by the Fox News anchor as a – remember this one? – “terrorist fist-jab.” Yeah!! THAT’S what that was! It’s just so obvious! How stupid and naive of me to think it was simply a celebratory hand gesture that tons of people do every single damn day even though it is actually quite corny! I’m so blind!

Lastly – we can’t forget about that scheming terrorist known to most daytime TV watchers as Rachel Ray (that name just sends shivers up and down my spine!!).

OHMYGOD SHE’S WEARING A SCARF!! THROW ALL YOUR DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE IN THE GARBAGE IMMEDIATELY!! IT’S POISON – POISON I TELL YOU!! (caffeine is bad for you anyway – at least switch to decaf)

What’s my point in all this? Well, first and foremost, let me say that NO! I DO NOT THINK GLENN BECK IS SALUTING HITLER. NO – I know damn well that Glenn Beck is not a Hitler lover, nor do I think he is a Nazi. As far as Paris Hilton is concerned, who the fuck cares – she’s just stupid and frankly I threw that in there because she actually does seem to be mimicking the infamous Hitler salute (lol holy crap she’s so dumb!). I threw together this little mess of a post because just look how silly things have become.

Obama’s fist-bump? Clearly, it’s just a fist-bump, and nothing more.

Rachel Ray’s scarf? Ladies and gentlemen, sorry to burst your lunacy bubble – but it’s just a scarf.

Paris Hilton? Well, sorry Paris, I believe your photo is as telling as can be. God you’re dumb.

Are all of Glenn Beck’s conclusions drawn from “wild and loose” reasoning? No (even though I feel too many of them are). The guy is smart enough to make strong points and support them, but all too often the guy goes way too far with his fear mongering and preaching. So, after seeing this wonderful picture of him I too decided to take a leap off the insanity diving board. (Damn it! Someone forgot to fill the pool with water – again!)

Of course Sarah Palin defends Dr. Laura Schlessinger’s racist comments . . . Dr. Laura is “one of her kind” (was that racist!? Oh you’re so sensitive! lol) . . . Sarah Palin is defending Dr. Laura’s RIGHT to free speech – she’s defending a constitutional RIGHT! WOW! Isn’t that what being American is about!? You might not like what Dr. Laura had to say, and perhaps it was offensive to many (oh, it was!), but like Palin points out – just because you don’t like what a person has to say doesn’t mean he/she doesn’t have the right to say it.

Here’s the clip in case you haven’t heard:

But ahhh . . . here’s something else – if you work for a private radio company and you say racist things on the air and your boss doesn’t want to renew your contract when it’s up (the article says that Dr. Laura chose not to continue once her contract is up, but for argument’s sake I’ll continue my take on the situation) because you’ve been a “bad employee” then is it not that boss’s RIGHT to do so? He/she does not have to resign a Dr. Laura or a Don Imus if they don’t want to. It’s their RIGHT!

Of course, naturally, I was leading somewhere with this: Sarah Palin doesn’t want a mosque near ground zero (even though Muslims seem to already be a part of the area) and Newt Gingrich likens it to Nazis putting up a sign next to the Holocaust Museum:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Before I get to the Newt Gingrich comment, let me finish my “private radio company bosses have a right to not resign a host due to racist comments even if the host’s comments are protected by the 1st amendment.” On the same token – the bosses have the right TO resign a radio host who makes racist comments, but would it be good for business? For their image? Probably not. Were Dr. Laura’s comments nice? No. Are they usually? No. She has been lauded (and berated) for her bluntness and her less than popular opinions, but it seems like there are people who respect the fact that she simply says what she feels – something the 1st amendment allows. So in a way, I guess I do agree with Sarah Palin (ohmygod – copy and paste that and use it against me whenever you want – go ahead and take it out of context – it’s the 1st and probably last time I’ll ever say it!) even though I do so begrudgingly.

Just as it is Dr. Laura’s right to say what she wants even though it pisses off many and offends more – it is unfortunately the right of a private landowner to build a house of worship in a country where freedom of religion DOES exist (apples and oranges, I know, but hey – it’s all fruit to me!) I say “unfortunately” because let’s face it – what’s happening in downtown New York is an unfortunate situation no matter how you look at it. I personally find it ridiculous that a mosque is being built before any sort of memorial, building, or new tower that symbolizes America’s resilience could be built (bureaucracy for you!), but there isn’t anything I can say or do about it being built. It’s a simple right. I’ve heard all the arguments, I’ve seen all the fights. Do I think it’s in bad taste? Absolutely. Could this whole thing be done and over with if they simply decided to move the location? Yes, and I’d wish they did it! But things to work out that easily. Do I think it may be used as a trophy for some radicals? Hey, I’m not stupid – it most definitely will. But what if Americans forgo our rights and our ideals and somehow block the building of the mosque – something that is supposed to be a freedom in this country? Haven’t “they” (and I mean the radicals – not all Muslims – something more Americans should learn how to differentiate – I mean really, even our last president was able to do it!) won if they somehow have forced us to ignore our own laws, ideals, and freedoms? Think about that one . . . .

As far as Newt Gingrich is concerned – to compare Muslims to Nazis is utterly ridiculous and frankly I’m disgusted by it. I’ll put it to you in two ways.

#1) Even so called Nazis have rights in this country and they march and give rallies – it’s highly contested and highly offensive, yet they are still allowed to do it as long as they “play by the rules.” Once again, it’s unfortunate and gross, but there’s a reason our laws have held up for as long as they have, and there’s a reason that this is America and NOT Saudi Arabia.

#2) Nazis are Nazis. Not all Germans are Nazis – so to cast a broad stroke against Muslims and compare them to Nazis doesn’t make sense to me. There are radical Islamic extremists, and then there are normal people simply following their faith that just so happens to not be Christianity. Those “normal” people didn’t fly any planes into buildings and didn’t kill anyone, and it’s the cases outside of “Ground Zero” that REALLY bother me because they express the extreme fear that too many Americans possess – a fear that there is “another” religion than theirs that is growing . . . a fear that is exacerbated by the Sarah Palin’s and Newt Gingrich’s of the country. Unfortunately for many of the families who lost loved ones on 9/11, fear is not enough to block a simple American freedom.

Bottom Line: If I lost a loved one on 9/11 then MAYBE I’d be singing a different tune (people keep telling me that, I know where they’re coming from), but I don’t think that tune would be about disregarding our rights in America. I would be more hurt, outraged, and upset – but I can’t come to all my decisions based on raw emotion.

I am not a truly religious man – I have my own way of being “spiritual” (I believe we as people are more capable and responsible than some religious people give us credit for – God didn’t provide me with a job – I applied for the job and got it myself, thank you!) and I have my own set of beliefs and lots of questions – when an Evangelical Christian throws their religion in my face (or I accidentally turn on the 700 Club but then keep it on because I sometimes like to allow myself to get angry) I get mad, yes – but there’s nothing I can do about it – I may disagree with many people in America, but I will never disagree with their rights to think and say and build any house of worship that they please because I enjoy those same rights, and when we start blocking those rights and twisting and turning them every which way it put us all on a very slippery slope! I think too many people are thinking too much with their hearts and are leaving their minds on the shelf or in a box . . . now think about that one . . . .

Well, I guess automatic/mechanical arms coming out of the dash to grab your cell phone and throw it out the window if it senses you texting while driving is out of the question (or is it?), but seriously – I wish I could file this post under a “common sense” category that I haven’t created yet (common sense would lead you to believe I would’ve created one if I wanted it so badly, but ehh . . . whatever).

Isn’t just common sense that while texting you must look at the phone at one point or the other – no matter how good you think you are at it – your eyes will come off the road to check to see if you are texting the correct person that “ur goin 2 lunch – will c u l8r” – a message, of course, that seemingly doesn’t NEED to be sent, and was unimportant enough NOT to be sent in 1975, 1985, and 1995 – now, all of a sudden, every little thing (including stupid jokes, which I’m very guilty of) must be texted at any time possible.

Hey, I won’t lie – HAVE I texted while driving before? Yes – I have – so I don’t want to stand on my soap box with a downcast view among people who do text while driving – I understand and get how easy it is, and how strongly you feel, “I got this – it’s not a problem,” but honestly – and I don’t need to sign freken anything Oprah wants me to sign to come to terms with this – what the hell is SO important that you can’t text it once you arrive at your destination? Hey, you’re running late and you want to text your friends to go ahead and book that table and you’ll be right there? Fine – use your hands free and call the person, or how’s this for a crazy idea – at least pull over and send that “all important text” or AT THE VERY LEAST do it at a red light. Sure, the guy behind you will probably beep and curse at you for not noticing the light has changed to Green, but at least (and I mean very least, because let’s face it – texting should NOT be happening behind the wheel - let us not forget the big train crash in California a couple years back where the engineer was texting right before the accident – food for thought next time you’re running late to Friendly’s for your friends 23rd B-day Bash!)

Here’s my question: Tickets, fines, making it illegal – yeah – I guess we can argue the effectiveness of that, but can we really, being that I constantly see people doing it!? No matter how high the fines people still want to text and drive. So with that said, what should be done (other than my mechanical arms out of the dashboard idea) to make people realize just how dangerous it is to text while drive?

Bottom Line: I have no problem with texting while riding jet skis – in fact – I’d love to see it done! haha

Do you think one of your “Friends” – you know, the one that was once married to Brad Pitt and gets her “unlucky in love” personal life thrown about the tabloids as if we all should give a damn (of course I’m talking about Jennifer Aniston, the most dangerous influence on young America since, well, since Obama gave that speech that was televised to school children about how they should do well in school and work hard – Jeez what a terrible message, what was he thinking!?!?).

According to this AOL Popeater article, Bill O’Reilly (America’s “Culture Warrior” extraordinaire) finds Aniston to be “destructive to society” after she made comments while promoting her new movie, The Switch, that basically say if women want to have/raise a child on their own they can/should and could do so without a man if necessary – to sum it up, she said, “times have changed” – that basically (of course I’m paraphrasing) a man is no longer needed as much as they were in the past.

This topic came up because her movie deals with a single woman who chooses to go with artificial insemination instead of – well, I guess instead of waiting for the “right guy” to come along and be the baby’s daddy. Silly women – don’t they know that if their biological clock is about to stop ticking they just need to hurry up and choose ANY guy no matter what type of person he is!? Just randomly pick a guy and I’M SURE he’ll be a better dad than having no dad at all – what – he’s an alcoholic abuser? Don’t worry! It sure beats growing up WITHOUT a father!

O’Reilly goes on to suggest that Aniston’s comments glamorize single motherhood and sends the wrong message to 13 year old girls all over America. Gretchen Carlson goes on to suggest that young teenage girls don’t possess the “cognitive ability” to differentiate between a successful 40 year old woman choosing to be a single mother and a 16 year old girl becoming a single mother (of course, if the 13 year old has a father in her life then she should, by the age of 13, be able to tell the difference between still being a kid and being an adult lol haha). Bill thinks that Aniston’s comments diminish the role of the father and that all the fathers that “do try hard” are “under appreciated” and this, well – I don’t know – all this pushes the “fatherhood-rights-fight” back at least (AT LEAST!) 5 years!

Give it up O’Reilly, and give us all a break with your self-righteous bullshit (only MY self-righteous bullshit is ever right, don’t you know that!? lol). I’m sure all the father’s that “do try hard” are reeling our of control from Jennifer Aniston’s comments that, as far as I can tell, are more about the empowerment of women than anything else. The way I see it, she’s just trying to say that women don’t need to rely on men as they may have had to do in the 50′s – you know the 50′s, right Bill? The decade that you apparently seem to want us all to remain in. Women make more money these days (I’m sure much to your chagrin) even though they are still fighting for the same respect that businessMEN demand and achieve. Like I said before, this isn’t 1951 anymore – and even though I’m sure you [Bill O'Reilly] get off by sitting at the head of your desk while the constant flow of attractive blonde-haired correspondents (if I may call them that) sit on the other side of your panel and “look pretty and smile for the camera!” I think it’s about time you ease off the “culture warrior” pedal and just go with the social flow . . . can you do that Bill? I know . . . I’m asking too much . . . . Anyway, I will give Margaret Hoover (one of those blonde correspondents I referred to) a break, however, because if you watch that clip that is embedded in the Popeater article (I couldn’t figure out to embed the clip in this post lol – you’d think I’d be better at this blogging thing by now) Margaret attempts to disagree with Bill on at least half the point that perhaps Aniston isn’t trying to send the wrong message to young girls – that perhaps Aniston is simply trying to say that women are CAPABLE and no longer need the big old breadwinner to go make sure they have a cozy house for them to live in – unfortunately, the clip got cut-off at the exact point Margaret was trying to express her point, and I can’t bring myself to watch anything from Fox News for longer than 2:50 minutes at a time as I’m afraid that I might become paranoid and afraid of everything around me (ohmygod! My stapler is ruining America!! It’s sending the wrong message to the youth – it’s make 3 sheets of paper stick together at the same time! It’s like a threesome! Oh hooowwww perverted!! We’re all doomed for hell!).

Bottom Line: Do you agree with Bill O’Reilly and find Aniston’s comments to be “destructive to society” ? Or do you think his assessment is a little harsh? Too harsh?

Personally, I think that both parents play an important role and children get different things from both of their parents that help them grow and learn – ideally, sure – I’d like to believe Jennifer Aniston feels that having a father would benefit a child, but #1) I really don’t care what Jennifer Aniston thinks or feels (sorry my “Friend” ! I loved you in Office Space !) and #2) I don’t at all think her comments are ruining our youth and I definitely don’t think they are “destructive to society.” I just think Bill-O looks for anything that he feels attacks his ideal image of America – an America that’s stuck in 1951, of course!

p.s. I’d love for all the adults who grew up with a single mother and turned out fine to either go on the “O’Reilly Factor” or call in and openly discuss how they survived such a terrible fate of not having a father. I know a few people who grew up without father figures and Bill-O I’ve got some news for you . . . it may be shocking, I know . . . but guess what . . . THEY TURNED OUT FINE!! And whatever “bad stuff” they may have done WHILE growing up they probably would’ve done if their fathers were around anyway – I mean, whose to say, obviously I don’t know that for a fact, but I’m basing that on the tons of kids I knew who HAD fathers and were sneaking out, doing drugs, and having sex with anything that had a pulse. Hey . . . I’m just saying . . . but maybe I’m the one that’s out of touch with social reality . . . hmmm – I highly doubt that.

Once again it’s the asinine, xenophobic, and one-track “see the world only through MY religion” -type comments made on this article that got me riled up enough to actually write a blog this morning (which is shocking, because due to my anti-seizure medicine I’ve been about as energetic as a bullfrog – don’t bullfrogs just sit around all day??).

The article deals with a very “hot button” issue that even I have dealt with on this blog. It’s about all the opposition that exists in America’s “Heartland” with regards to the attempts of Muslims to build new houses of worship – also known as Mosques (a very simple description for people who think the only house of worship is a church – of course I kid, I know the people who come to this blog are smarter than smart).

I’m not writing this blog post to sway people’s minds one way or the other – I know once people have their ideas and beliefs they are mostly stuck in them – a problem I fear too many of us have (even I try hard to give everyone their due time to speak their ideas to me – I try hard to listen, think, and digest – and even though I may not always end up agreeing with someone or believing the same stuff they believe – I feel I’ve done myself justice if I’ve tried my hardest to just listen)- I’m writing this blog post to – stay with me – react to the way I reacted to the article. (I’m so bored from sitting around all day that I now find myself analyzing my analysis!).

My initial reaction would be easily known to my friends and frequent readers of this blog – as my feelings about this sort of topic have been expressed in previous blog posts: Example A and Example B. People who read my blog know that I feel there is a freedom of religion (wow, what a concept!) in this country and that we (Americans, no matter our religious denomination – if we have one) don’t have the right to tell people they can’t build their house of worship for their religion simply because we’re “scared.” And that’s how I see it – that’s my initial reaction to that AOL article that speaks of the fight of Muslims to build Mosques in places other than Ground Zero.

Now, for my reaction to my reaction:

I get it. I totally do – especially the Ground Zero uproar (no matter how much it hurts, you can’t discriminate based on religion, I mean, you shouldn’t discriminate at all, but we have religious freedom in this country and a lot of people need to remember that!) – I also understand how a simple news story (like the article I linked to) can sometimes make it seem like an entire state (Tennessee in this particular case) is up in arms and blocking construction from being done, ultimately preventing Muslims from building houses of worship. Or at least, I can see how some people can make the argument that certain news stories can “mislead” people into thinking the fight against Mosques and Muslims (and in my opinion, anything OTHER than “our” way of thinking) is bigger than it actually is, but if that’s true, then so is the opposite. Read the xenophobic, hateful, and fearful comments made by people in response to this article and you try and tell me that at least some of them haven’t seen or read a news story that has sensationalized the idea of Muslims “taking over” our country – or how a simple Mosque in their town means that terrorists are moving in and plotting on how to take over the town’s rotary club. Give me a break. Seriously, I’m waiting for one.

I’m a big believer in our freedoms to think for ourselves and to speak about our thoughts, beliefs, and believe it or not – I’m also a believer in the right to practice one’s faith (I may not be as religious as you are, and I might question your certainty that God exists and that all your bible stories are true, but it doesn’t mean that I disagree with the right that allows you to express and celebrate your beliefs!!) – it’s what this country is at least supposed to be about! Being a believer in such freedoms, I too must allow for these protesters to protest something they don’t like – can I question their motives because I feel they are based in fear? Of course! I’m free to do so, just as they are free to be afraid! Just as they are free to buy into sensationalism and misread it for patriotism! Whatever -ism they want to hoot and holler about today is all up to them – hey, we’re all free to do so!

Bottom Line: I believe in freedom (I’m going to leave that thought as vague and general as it is) but there is something else that I try to live every day by, and that I believe in more than anything else, and that is: COMMON SENSE. When I flip out over news stories or something someone has said to me, it’s not because they might disagree with me (God forbid someone with their own mind and perception not see the world the same way I do!!) – they are free to disagree with me and they are free to their own beliefs and thoughts, just as I am, but when a lack of common sense exists I lose my marbles – I mean I just can’t stand a lack of common sense! Simplicity is beauty to me, and when it comes to Muslims being able to build Mosques in some town in Tennessee I like to keep it simple so that there is no need to protest, fight, argue, and rant and rave. The simplicity of it is this: There is a freedom of religion in this country – all too often there are people who read that freedom as “there is a freedom of MY religion in this country, and that is all – if you don’t believe in what I believe you are un-American! Take your wrong religion and go back to where you came!” Well, I’m going to keep it simple and leave it at that, because my readers are smarter than smart, and can take that last quote for what it is, as it symbolizes my lack of patience for those who don’t have common sense.

Please feel FREE to share your thoughts and let’s discuss calmly and openly!

First of all, watching show totally makes me happy that I no longer go out to clubs or loud bars. I’m knocking on 30, and all I want to do is go somewhere I can sit and relax with quiet chill music – I guess being engaged changes things – if I were single I’m sure my “going out” phase would come back, but I’m trying to nix alcohol from my life completely (maybe a lil wine here and there) especially since the doc just told me today to stay away from it as it could trigger more seizures . . . and who needs more seizures!?

Speaking of alcohol – seizure or not – the way Ronnie acted while drunk, as well as the way Angelina acted, only confirms the fact that I should enter my 30′s with alcohol “out of my system.” First of all, I’m most likely going to have kids within 2 years, and I see no place for alcohol once I have children to take care of – Secondly, I find beers and hard liquors to be an enormous waste of money – if you drink a lot, I’m sure you’d be amazed if you stopped and calculated how much you’ve spent on alcohol over the past year or two – it’s a lot! And finally, after getting the scare of my life (seizure + brain surgery) I think it’s time to start taking my health more seriously (another important thing to do when planning to start a family!).

Okay – how I went from “Jersey Shore” to cutting down on alcohol consumption, living a healthier lifestyle, and starting a family is beside me, but perhaps “Jersey Shore” is a little therapeutic in the sense that it constantly reminds me of all the idiots that are still out there (really, Sammi “Sweetheart” !? You curse out Ronnie who isn’t even currently your boyfriend for simply having his ex-girlfriend’s phone number in his phone!? Really!?!?) and how I’m very much over “that scene.” Not that I ever got into the full-blown Guido scene (clubbing and loud music and DJs and fist pumping), but let’s just say I’m very happy with where I am in life, and that it’s NOT with a Jersey Girl (nor with a JWoww, nor any girl that could even remotely get on this terrible show that I continue to watch).

Bottom Line: Nothing outrageous happened in episode 2 that stands out in my mind. Ronnie and Sammi fight and make up and fight again, but get used to it – it was all they did during season 1 and apparently it will be all they do in season 2 (how long before that gets old . . . too late!!).

Angelina was verbally attacked by Snooki and basically threatened by JWoww, “sleep with one eye open, bitch . . . one eye open” – I’m sorry, but how old are you? Threats are not allowed in the real world lol.

Oh, and I almost forgot – Ronnie got a tattoo of praying hands holding a rosary (how fucking original, dude!!) and it took 4 hours – naturally, he thanked and lauded Sammi for “standing by his side” for the full 4 hours – it really showed him a lot about her character . . . dude – all it shows is that she has some form of PATIENCE! What the fuck is wrong with these people!? Just because the girl happened to be with you when you decided to get yet ANOTHER form of Catholic imagery imprinted on your over-worked-out body speaks NOTHING about her character! These people are ridiculous with how they judge character, friendships, and relationships!

Caught this gem on Popeater today:

http://www.popeater.com/2010/08/04/exclusive-jwoww-jenni-farley-questionnaire/

Apparently it’s some questionnaire from another reality show JWoww (of course of “Jersey Shore” fame) tried to get on – I couldn’t care less about what show it was or what type of car she drives (ohhhh a BMW – go figure! I bet it’s a 3 series!!) . . . anyway – I want to draw your attention to what the producer included in their “Producer’s Notes” section:
PRODUCER’S NOTES:
– Loves upstate New York
– She’s into tall, dark handsome guys who love dogs and are outgoing, very business type
– Cut off BF [Boyfriend's] fingers with a sword
– A+

Okay. Upstate New York. Whatever – I enjoy it during the fall when the leaves change yadda yadda . . . but let’s jump to the 2nd to last one: “Cut off BF [Boyfriend's] fingers with a sword”

WTF!? Or as normal non-internet people would say . . . WHAT THE FUCK!?!?

First of all, did she do any time or pay any fees? Cause that sure as hell sounds illegal to me! Secondly . . . a sword!? A SWORD!? Who the hell has swords just laying around like that!? (besides Mel Gibson of course).

Bottom Line: JWoww may currently reside in my official hometown of Franklin Square, Long Island, NY – but at least I can be proud in saying she was NOT born there. Holy crap she’s insane!

One week has passed since last Thursday’s much anticipated premiere of the 2nd season of MTV’s “Jersey Shore.” Clearly, I was excited and couldn’t help but join in on the “Guido extravaganza” - but just like I yo-yo with my own excitement and involvement with this blog (apparently so do my “readers” based on the latest roller coaster ride in hits) I also yo-yo with “Jersey Shore.”

When I watched last weeks episode I cringed and wanted to leave the room every time the show went to break and I had to watch the cast pretend to act and read from cue cards to try and promote whatever horrible movie (The Other Guys) – it’s during moments like that when I hate the cast.

Then, for some ungodly reason, I see this music video for Enrique Iglesias, and again – for some unknown reason – I feel a sense of “like” for the cast of “Jersey Shore” – what the hell is wrong with me!? (“Baby I like it!”)

I mean – the whole thing is ridiculous – but isn’t that what it’s all about? For some reason this show is a success, and it has to be for the ridiculous factor – the big hair – the terrible tans – it makes us laugh at them, but then there are times (when they’re not fighting with each other) when I see the cast actually enjoy their time with each other – it reminds me of going out with my buddies in my early 20′s – it reminds me of the group of friends I made during semester abroad – it reminds me of going to clubs (and NOT liking it) lol – it reminds me of numerous positives and negatives, and even though I can’t put my finger on why I like/hate them – I watch it every week. It’s like “Real World” only better, despite my hatred of Guidos and the guido lifestyle. Maybe I’m just a secret Guido??? Nah . . . that’s crazy talk.

Bottom Line: I yo-yo with my interest in “Jersey Shore” (seriously, if they’re physically not at the Jersey shore any more – they’re in Miami – then why do they still call it by that name?? Rhetorical question, of course) – I’m still surprised that there was no blog written by yours truly about Snooki getting arrested, but honestly – it didn’t shock me (wasn’t supposed to, I’m sure) and I just didn’t care enough – I’m not going to write for the sake of writing – Maybe there will be a post show recap tonight, but in all honesty, it will probably have to wait until tomorrow. Let’s enjoy the show tonight and digest the over-the-top Guido bonanza that is “Jersey Shore” and we’ll discuss what happens tomorrow! Enjoy!
