Oh the outrage that spews out of me whenever I see clips from FoxNews pundits/anchors/Becks and Palins acting all “high and mighty” just because “we’re all Christians” – sorry Fox . . . but we are NOT all Christians . . . and sorry Sarah . . . it’s NOT that simple.

Oh How I Hate Sean Hannity

The Colbert Report Mon – Thurs 11:30pm / 10:30c
Tip/Wag – James O’Keefe & Sean Hannity

Colbert Report Full Episodes Political Humor Skate Expectations

Okay, hate is a strong word, so instead of using it I must resort to quoting the band The Plain White T’s in saying, “Hate is a strong word, but I really really really don’t like you . . . .”  That’s right, Sean, I’m talking to you (lol if he read my blog I’d gush . . . geez – the way I’ve been neglecting this blog, I’d gush if ANYONE stumbled upon it!).

When I’m driving home and I’m bored, and I’m looking for “entertainment” I put on the Sean Hannity radio show . . . I don’t do it to listen to what he has to say – for godssake I know what he’s going to say . . . it’s the same old right-wing rhetoric every-fucking-day – I don’t tune in for that.  I tune in to hear the new ways Sean finds to get out of responding to people who call up with differing views and valid counter-points.  It’s actually quite interesting . . . .

The other day, Sean spent a great part of one phone call talking about the caller’s famous BBQ restaurant in Georgia (apparently he’s a frequent caller, and they know each other)  – which is all well and good – they seemed to like each other and free advertising is great for anyone!  But when it came time to talk about health-care, Hannity exclaimed his desire to debate the caller . . . let me repeat the important word here:  DEBATE . . . so the caller went on to make his point, which, was a damn good one that I happen to agree with, but of course, Hannity didn’t like it . . . he cut the caller off (interrupting is what he’s great at!) and lambasted him for “demonizing” health-care companies (oh because they’re soooooooooooo innocent!!) and insinuated the caller meant something other than what he actually said . . . I was outraged, and was desperately waiting for the caller to correct Sean and clearly make his point for the second time, but every time the caller tried to say something Sean just talked louder, eventually hanging up on the guy because he just HAD to go to break – oh – how convenient . . . the guy had a different opinion than Sean, and he stated it, so Sean brought up points to discredit the guy and ended up finding any reason to get him off the phone, leaving the caller no time to debate . . . I’ve heard this happen more times than I can count, and I fucking hate it.  The “debate” never happened.  It’s as one-sided as it gets on the Sean Hannity show.  Oh, but there was plenty of time to talk about BBQ . . . .

Today, I was in a parking lot, parked (that’s important, and you’ll soon find out why) and a guy called up stating how he feels conservative republicans spend so much time caring about “pro-life” when it comes to babies, but don’t care about “pro-life” when it comes to people that are already living – so – for instance – in terms of health care – Hannity would back a health care plan that keeps millions of Americans uncovered . . . so if they were to get sick and die . . . oh well . . . they’re not unborn babies . . . so what does it matter!?  But I digress a bit . . . the caller’s point was that Hannity needed to be more balanced (oh, that’s a wild notion!) when he calls out Democrats for being “pro-choice” in the abortion issue, but not in other issues . . . while Republicans are pro-life in the abortion arena, but not in others . . . let’s just say directly after the caller made this great point the very clear station, which was coming through on a very clear signal, suddenly crapped out rendering any words that were said to utter mush . . . now, at first I thought it was the caller’s cell phone sucking at life, but not even Hannity’s voice was coming through . . . by the time Sean’s voice came through clear and true, the caller was gone and Hannity moved on to the next topic . . . mmmmm . . . keep in mind – I was PARKED – so it wasn’t my reception that suddenly went bad . . . could something technical have gone wrong?  Absolutely, but I highly doubt it . . . especially from someone (Hannity) who has been known to present one “truth” in spite of the actual truth . . . fair and balanced my ass.

FoxNews Is At It Again! (Misleading Footage Helps Sarah Palin)

Julie Walker holds Palins new book in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Only this woman, pictured at left, has bought Sarah Palin’s book!  She apparently needed to hug something.

Wait a second?  More people bought her book!?  Tons of people went to her book signings!?  Sarah Palin has a book!?  I want a book.

Was my picture misleading!?  Oh I’m sorry.  It must be that damn liberal media.  They made me do it!

Ah, but I kid – I joke – I fool around – and I can do that because I’m just a silly blogger who pays for a tiny slice of the Interweb (that’s right, the Interweb) – but for a real life “News” channel to “accidentally” show the wrong clip (a misleading one, by the way, that puts the topic on hand in a brighter light)  for the 2nd time in less than 2 weeks, is unacceptable – especially when it’s a network with such “high values.”  If these were truly accidents, how come the clips never make the story look worse?  For example, in this latest mishap, how come they didn’t have a clip of Sarah Palin sitting alone in her Governer’s office, or even a clip of the infamous Katie Couric interview?  Better yet, if they are speaking about a book signing, for Gods sake why don’t they just show actual footage of the book signing?  Keep it simple, and stop trying to mislead – you already have your viewers hooked – what’s the point!?

Jon Stewart Calls Out Sean Hannity – I’m Still Smiling Over This!

UJA Federation Of New York Honors Doug Herzog

Seriously.  Still Smiling over here!  I just read this article, after watching last night’s “The Daily Show” and re-watching all the clips that are included in the AOL Television article.  If you haven’t seen them yet, please click the link and check out all the videos!  (I will also link to each clip individually as I go along, because for some reason the clips are out of order in the article)

The first clip is of the original “Daily Show” segment that started all of this – it shows Jon Stewart calling out Sean Hannity for using the incorrect footage while doing a piece on a recent health-care rally.  Oh, just a mistake, right?  Well the thing is, the clip that was “inadvertently” used, to quote Hannity, was from a 9/12 Rally put together by Glenn Beck, which had more people in attendance than the health-care rally.  So to the inattentive eye, it would appear that while Hannity is speaking about how so many people showed up to the latest rally – the footage provided factual imagery to support Hannity’s claims, which of course – it not reality!  Oh just watch the clip – it’s explained better there than I could ever put it!  Very funny stuff . . . .

“A Tale of Two Carries” – One on Fox, and the Other on CNN

Donald Trump Press Conference In Regards To Miss California USA

"Damn. My contact fell out. I bet a Gay stole it!"

This first video is of Carrie Prejean - embarrassed and falling apart at the seams -on Sean Hannity’s show on FoxNews after it was revealed she has a sex tape.  I have a couple questions:  Why is Carrie Prejean such a “golden child” of Hannity, and does he have a copy of her sex tape yet?  (Oh, I bet he has multiple copies!  And they’re totally signed).  He treats her with white gloves, but that’s no shocker.  I’m sure if she had answered the “other” way to Perez Hilton’s question Hannity would be all over this sex tape issue and use it to discredit Prejean, but I digress . . . .

P.s.

I’m looking to post more this weekend, and in the following weeks.  I’d like to extend a thanks to all my friends who have supported this blog/website – you know who you are, but I’m going to ask for more (and only if I give you more) during the next month.  I’m not exactly sure how I can generate more traffic on this site, but I am open to suggestions and advice from anybody who is already visiting this site.

I haven’t kept this blog as updated as I’d like – my goal would be to take AT LEAST one issue a day and write about it on this blog (trust me, at least 1 issue a day bothers me or inspires me) – I want people to know that when they type my URL in they will get something new.  Or a lollipop.  Lollipops might make people come to this site.

Does Bill O’Reilly want a Priest as President?

The Hollywood Radio And Television Society Newsmakers Luncheon

Based on the clips found on a post by Chris Rodda, at Huffingtonpost.com, I can only come away with this answer:  YES, Bill O’Reilly wants some sort of religious figure as the Commander and Chief of the United States of America.  He simply can’t handle Obama NOT being a “bible-thumper.”

What’s the deal with Glenn Beck?

How does he have a radio show?  WHY does he have a radio show?  How is he on TV? WHY is he on TV?

These are questions I’ve been asking myself lately, and when I really think about it – I often wonder, “am I the ONLY person I know that listens to this guy?”

I don’t want to use anybody’s material on my blog, so until I entirely figure out this whole BLOGGING thing, I will simply direct you to go to youtube.com and type in Glenn Beck.  I don’t want to get in trouble for using another person’s video or anything like that.   Better than going on youtube, tune into FoxNews at 5pm EST  and watch a few of his shows.  I want YOU to tell me what you think of this guy, because honestly, could I really be the only one asking how the hell this loon got a TV show?

He is yet another “commentator” (I guess “reporters” are no longer needed) who likes to evoke fear and use condescension (something I hear DAILY from talk radio conservative commentators) to make their “points” -and don’t freak out on me because I ONLY said conservative – I know it happens both ways, but I ONLY hear conservative talk on the radio because it’s the majority – even though they try very hard to make me believe that I have liberal propaganda subliminally fed LIVE into my thought stream all day every day.

Look – you want to have your opinions and ideas heard – that’s great – I want that too – but I’m not on CNN, MSNBC, or FoxNews – I don’t have a professional standard that I need to adhere to.  I’d LOVE to think that these “news” networks would employ people that are capable of reporting the news in an UNBIASED manner.  I love how Campbell Brown’s show is titled, “No Bias No Bull” – which in my world translates to:  “Bias and Bull.”  FoxNews as a whole uses the motto, “Fair and Balanced” – directly after or before telling you something unfair, and extremely unbalanced.  If you have to DECLARE it, then it most likely isn’t true.  It’s the whole, “I”m not a slut” or the “I’m not a player” act given by gals and gals.  If you have to declare it, then you’re MOST LIKELY a slut or a player.  So I guess in some indirect way, I’m calling anybody on the news these days, especially Glenn Beck (and Hannity you sly fox you . . . I know how much you love Dick . . . Morris)  a slut or a player.

Why can’t we simply have news networks that report the news to us, and not psycho-babble gibberish that Glenn Beck spews daily on FoxNews?

Bottom Line: Watch Glenn Beck and tell me what you come away with.  For now, I will leave you with this clip, and I want you think about what type of guy he is.  Of course, someone will say that it’s out of context and blah blah blah – the out of context card is played WAY too much, and is only valid when something IS REALLY taken out of context to an extreme.  Just listen, and then look up some more stuff on this guy.  Maybe one day, I’ll stop listening to fools, but as long as it’s entertaining (news SHOULDN’T be THAT entertaining – should it?) I’ll keep watching.  (I guess that’s my problem, by the way – I keep thinking I’m going to find NEWS on a news channel – silly me -  all I find is ENTERTAINMENT!) – Glenn Beck is a clown – and I’m TERRIFIED of clowns – especially ones with radio and TV shows.
