Oh how could I NOT put this on my blog!? And how did I allow myself to miss it when it originally aired? I’m so mad at myself . . . I feel . . . I feel . . . like such a retard!
Ahh, but of course I’m using satire. Much like Rush Limbaugh uses (Really, Sarah?? Really?).

Yes. It’s true. You’re not at the wrong blog. I actually agree with Bill O’Reilly on something. Bill O’Reilly was forced to put Dick Wolf, the creator of “Law & Order” (one of my favorite TV franchises, by the way) on notice after O’Reilly’s name was used (negatively, of course) during an episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” As you can see in the video that is included in the above Yahoo! link, John Larroquette’s character blames (and names) Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Bill O’Reilly for the murders of illegal immigrants. Larroquette’s character’s (or better yet, Dick Wolf’s) point being that the “hateful” talk from such commentators fuels peoples’ anger, leading them to perform such horrid acts – in this case killing people simply because they are illegal immigrants.

Ahh it always feels good to start the day with a pun! Give me a break, I rarely use puns for my post titles, so just let me have this one! Rush Limbaugh has been dropped from the group lead by Dave Checketts (chairman of the St. Louis Blues for all my hockey fans out there) that is trying to purchase the St. Louis Rams Football team. Limbaugh was dropped due to opposition from other NFL owners, as well as the league commissioner, Roger Goodell who said, ” . . . we’re all held to a high standard here. I would not want to see those comments coming from people who are in a responsible position in the NFL — absolutely not.” Really!? High Standard!? Goodell is referring to comments made by Limbaugh, particularly the most famous one (about Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Donovan McNabb) that landed him off ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown: “I think what we’ve had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well.”
Now – I never thought I would ever stand up for, or stick up for, or defend anything about Rush Limbaugh, but I must say that if the quote about Donovan McNabb is what the people in opposition are going on, then there is definitely something amiss in the NFL. For Roger Goodell to say that there is a “high standard” in the NFL is utterly preposterous! Where is this standard!? Where does Goodell keep and hide this supposed high standard!? And all of a sudden, this standard should only apply to “people who are in a responsible position in the NFL” !? So according to Goodell, the players have absolutely no responsibility in the NFL. The players are not to be held accountable for any of their actions, and really, isn’t it said that actions speak louder than words!? Even if Limbaugh’s comments on NFL Countdown had been more racist than they actually were, is it really enough to keep his right from partially owning a team!? As an American, does Limbaugh not have the right to make an investment choice with his own money?
